Giri: (Giri Singh)

Daughter of Maj. Gen. K. Bhagwati Singh and Smt. Mohan Kumari, Giri has travelled along the length and breadth of the country. Her father was the first Commissioned Officer of the Indian Army. Her mother was an excellent cook and both loved entertaining guests.

Giri inherited these qualities from her parents and loves cooking, entertaining & meeting people. The idea of a starting guest house came to her way back in 1972, ever since then she has been keeping foreign tourists at her home intermittently. With the creation of Girisadan in 2006, her dream finally became a reality.

Sadan: (Capt. Satyendra Kumar Singh)

Son of Dr. Radhika Prasad Singh and Smt. Malti Devi of Pratapgarh, Tala in Uttar Pradesh, Sadan set out to sea at the tender age of 16 and continued to sail the high seas for 42 years. His Father was in the government services and practiced homeopathy as a hobby.

His mother belonged to a family of “Gandhians”. Sadan is fond of Indian and Western classical music; loves entertaining people and is an extravagant host. He is a passionate man who has traveled the world and has a habit of being in command of everything, including Girisadan, his new ship!

Giri & Sadan:

From a humble beginning in Bombay to a quiet family life in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, after sailing the around the world time and again, Giri & Sadan finally decided to drop their anchor in Jaipur and are now proud owners of their home stay fondly called “Girisadan”. Their three children have flown the nest. Their eldest daughter, Purnima is a graduate in Hotel Administration. She is married to a Master Mariner, Capt. Rajesh Deshwal.

They have two sons Yaduraj and Paranjay. Their Second Daughter Neerja, is a Post graduate in Clinical Psychology. She is married to a Dental Surgeon Dr. Prashant Singh, they have two beautiful daughters – Katyayani and Ritika they are settled in Dehradoon. Their son, Aayushman is a Marine Engineer and is currently pursuing his career on the high seas.
